Microsoft Access Training Courses

Access Introduction

Amethyst’s Access introduction course will provide the skills to create a database from scratch. Understanding how and why tables are created; using field properties and how to work with datasheets are all covered. Delegates will learn how to create, modify and enhance Forms, Queries and Reports and understand the purpose of building relationships.

This is a one-day course that will enable delegates to create and use a database skillfully and they will learn that, once created, it can be fully integrated with all Microsoft applications so, for example, creating a mail-merge in Word based on Access data, or exporting Access data to Excel can be done without the need to duplicate the information.

Access Advanced

Amethyst’s one-day Access advanced course initially continues with the theme of developing Forms with sub-forms each based on multiple tables. Both “select” and “action” Queries are designed, leading on to delivery of informative Reports.

A major part of the advanced course deals with creating macros that perform various actions. Delegates will also learn how to apply macros to features such as command buttons.
